As an artist and an art therapist I know the power of the creative process without the support of research as I have observed the healing qualities for myself and others for over a decade now.  Neuroscience, however, has removed the mystery  while showing what most artists already know with their whole being: art can heal with incredible depth with or without uttering a word.
